티벳은 2024년 6월 현재 특별여행주의보 단계가 내려져 있습니다.
외교부는 해외에서 우리 국민에 대한 사건·사고 피해를 예방하고 우리 국민의 안전한 해외 거주·체류 및 방문을 도모하기 위해 2004년부터 ‘여행경보제도’를 운영해 오고 있습니다.
『특별여행주의보』 단계는 단기적으로 긴급한 위험이 있는 국가(지역)에 대하여 발령하는데요, 왜 티벳에 어떤 위험이 있어서 특별여행주의보가 내려진걸까요?
외교부 해외여행 안전 사이트에 나와있는 대표 전화를 걸어 담당자하고 통화를 해 보았지만, 정확한 답변을 듣지 못했습니다.
담당자는 티벳이 입경이 자유롭지 않고 퍼밋을 받아야만 들어갈 수 있는 통제 구역이라서 그런거 같다고 하는데요, 이미 5월부터 외국인에 대한 입경이 전면적으로 허용되었다고 말하니, 정확한 이유를 알고 싶으면 베이징에 있는 한국 대사관에 문의를 하라고 합니다. 본인들은 대사관에서 내려온 공문에 의거하여 경보를 내린다고 합니다.
